Short vegan travelog:
1. Airport disappointment with a non-butter croissant that had the emptiness of flavour you might get from eating pages from an old school exercise book.
2. Airline food surprise with a better than expected serving from TransAero from London to Moscow who came up with roasted veggies and rice, two side salads: sweet shredded carrots with walnuts, and a sharp cabbage dish garnished with red currants, I think, they could have been cranberries, and then a slice of rye bread, and a small dish of chopped fruit. Pretty good.
Late arrival to the apartment means supper was extracted from my “first aid kit” Red Bush tea and ginger snaps – a taste from home.
